Southeast User Group Leaders Summit, October 16, 2010

This unconference-style event is for technology-based user and community groups in the Southeast and is patterned after the Northeast summit - http://neugsummit2009.pbworks.com/. The goal of this event is to share tips and discuss the issues and challenges facing technology groups regardless of the actual technology the group is focused on, such as finding locations, getting speakers, seeking out sponsorship, growing membership, hosting special events, etc.

See Glen Gordon's wrap-up post for the 2009 Summit as well as photos on Flickr and Chris Bowen's post for a summary of the 2009 Northeast event.

Registration: Registration on Eventbrite at http://seugls.eventbrite.com is now OPEN. Due to space and organizational limitations, we have to cap attendance at 120, so we respectfully ask that groups limit their attendees to 2-3 organizers or that you are someone who is interested in starting a new group.

User-Groups-Attending - Please add your group and yourself to the table after registering at EventBrite.

Session Ideas - This does not commit you to *presenting* a session, but is for gathering ideas on what people would like to discuss.

Preferred Hotels in Alpharetta.doc - This file contains a list of hotels close to the event location that have special "Microsoft" rates (be sure to ask for this!) and some have shuttle transportation to the Microsoft office. Residence Inn by Marriott, North Point Mall (http://www.marriott.com/atlnp) contacted us specifically to mention rates as low as $51.75.  Reservations must be made by October 11 to secure this rate.  No reference to Microsoft is needed.
